A different perspective
Consider how mental ill health, recovery and workplace pressure can feel from the other side of the conversation.
Mental health & workplace wellbeing
Talks and workshops with Sab Uddin, bringing lived experience to the conversations that matter: mental health, workplace pressure and returning to work.

Space for the conversations
your people need.
Why this conversation matters
Mental health at work can be difficult to talk about. A personal perspective can help make that conversation feel more human, with room to listen, reflect and ask questions.
Consider how mental ill health, recovery and workplace pressure can feel from the other side of the conversation.
Explore thoughtful ways to listen, check assumptions and discuss what useful support might look like.
Leave with discussion prompts and a concise resource to keep the conversation going in your team.
Choose the focus
We agree the focus around your audience and event. These themes can shape the talk or form the starting point for a tailored workshop.
How language, assumptions and everyday interactions can shape someone's experience at work.
What might we be overlooking?Space to reflect on workload, expectations and conversations about pressure and support.
How do we make room to talk?Listening, asking thoughtful questions and exploring what practical help might mean for an individual.
What does helpful support sound like?Confidence, expectations and useful conversations when someone returns after mental ill health.
What could make the return easier? Two ways to start
Choose a focused one-hour talk, or discuss a more participative session shaped around your team.
Personal insight, practical workplace examples and time for the questions that matter to your audience.
Selected lived experiences and reflections on respectful, useful support in working life.
Ask questions and explore workplace situations. Listening is always welcome.

Meet your speaker
My interest in mental health comes from lived experience of mental ill health, recovery and rebuilding confidence.
I bring that perspective alongside a background in law and residential property management. I hold an LLB and LPC, and my legal experience includes working as a paralegal at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
In these sessions, I share selected experiences to help people think about what respectful, useful support can look like. Every person's experience is different. That understanding is at the heart of the conversation.

Good to know
HR and People teams, employee networks, managers and colleagues. Sessions can fit staff wellbeing events or a dedicated team conversation. We discuss suitability and focus before agreeing a booking.
Yes. We agree a focus and choose relevant workplace examples during the preparation call. Workshops allow more room for guided discussion and scenarios; their duration, scope and fee are agreed separately.
Absolutely. Questions and discussion are optional. Nobody will be asked to share a diagnosis or personal experience, and participants are welcome to step out.
These sessions offer education and discussion informed by lived experience. They are not therapy, individual clinical advice or accredited mental health training. We can discuss whether the approach fits your event.
